Shattered Isles | Commerce

In Shattered Isles, each player has the opportunity to have a direct impact on the economy of the world. Players of all race, class, and/or religion have access to a wide variety of commerce based skills ranging from the collecting and gather of raw resources, to crafting and selling your own goods out of a store that your player owns. The Staff's goal is to support a player driven economy as much as possible while also offering events where players can order and purchase unique items to enchance their character's gaming experience. The main currency of Archai is the gold doubloon. This is also the only currency the Archai Trading Company will accept. Each of the four elemental islands also have their own currency. The only place where doubloons are not of any value is the isle of Kaleith. Players can exchange different currencies at specific locations throughout New Archai as well as ATC owned ports on other islands.
Every raw material used to craft items can be found, with the appropriate skill, throughout Archai. A resource's value determines how rare it is. Ores and Metals can be collected from caves and mountains using the Mining Skill. To mine you must first be weilding a pick-axe of some kind. Gems and precious stones are also most commonly found in cave ares and mountains and are collected by using the Gem Extracting skill. The Skinning and Fishing skills allow players to gather their own meat. Foraging is perhaps the most common of the gathering skills because it works in so many places. You can forage for a wide range of edible resources as well as herbs for potion brewing. Wood Chopping allows players to collect different species of wood for use in other skills such as Fire Building or Fletching.
Gathering skills are a group of common skills designed around the collecting of raw materials and resources throughout Archai. Players learn new gathering skills through advancing their Trade Ability. Fishing Skinning Speculating Ore Mining Digging Gem Extracting Foraging Wood Chopping Shearing
